Mr. Rowekamp joined Unit Drilling Company in late 1997 when the company acquired Hickman Drilling Company.  He is currently Regional Vice President of the Panhandle and Woodward Divisions.  Mr. Rowekamp worked for Hickman Drilling for a year prior to joining Unit, he also spent a year managing landfill gas extraction projects for Waste Energy Technology and 14 years with UTI Energy’s contract drilling group in various positions from Drilling Engineer to Vice President of Operations.  Mr. Rowekamp is a 1982 graduate of Marietta College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering

Mr. Case joined Unit Drilling Company in 2000 as the Gulf Coast Marketing Manager.  In 2005, he became Division Team Leader of the Rocky Mountain Division, and in January 2010 he was promoted to his current position of Regional Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Division.  Mr. Case began his career in 1984 with Hercules Offshore Drilling.  From 1990 to 1998, he worked in Denver for Grace Drilling Company, Apollo Drilling, Inc. and then Nabors Drilling.  In 1998, he moved to Houston, Texas and worked for Bayard Drilling, and then Grey Wolf Drilling in 1999 before joining Unit in 2000.  He received his A.A.S. in Petroleum Technology from the University of Texas in 1983.

Mr. Sparkman joined Unit Drilling Company in 2005 as a Drilling Engineer.  In 2011, he undertook the role of Engineering Manager.  His current responsibilities include supervising the design and fabrication of new build and refurbished drilling rigs, providing technical support to field operations and developing the engineering department.  Mr. Sparkman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Almond joined Unit Drilling Company in 1984 as a mechanic and he assumed the duties of Corporate Maintenance Manager in 2001.  In 1974, while still in high school, he started his career working as a field mechanic in Odessa, Texas.  He spent some time with Waukesha Pierce Industries in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Mike then joined the United States Marine Corps to become a helicopter mechanic. In 1979, he worked for an Oklahoma City machine shop sub contracted to manufacture new products for the oilfield (e.g. drawworks, mud pumps, etc.). Mr. Almond continued his career with Noble Drilling as a lead mechanic before joining Unit in 1984.

Mr. Sands joined Unit Drilling Company in 1999 and is currently the Drilling Superintendent.  From 1991 to 1999, he worked for Parker Drilling Company.  Mr. Sands started his career as a Roughneck and then worked his way up to a Rig Manager before being promoted to his position as Rockies Drilling Manager. 

Mr. Menefee was appointed President of Unit Drilling Company in November 2020. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Business Development at Independence Contract Drilling from 2013 to April 2020. Before that, he spent over 13 years at Rowan Companies, Inc. where he held many operational and management roles, including the Director of Marketing from 2006 to 2013. Mr. Menefee graduated from The University of Mississippi in Oxford with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He holds a graduate certificate in corporate finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
